From January to September, retail sales of urban consumer goods reached 27,588.8 billion yuan, an increase of 16.5% year-on-year; retail sales of rural consumer goods reached 4,216.9 billion yuan, an increase of 15.6%.

According to consumption types, in September, retail merchandise sales reached 3.300.2 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year; The catering turnover amounted to 383.1 billion yuan, an increase of 3.1%. From January to September, retail merchandise sales reached 28,530.7 billion yuan, up 15.0% year-on-year; The catering turnover amounted to 3.275 billion yuan, an increase of 29.8%.

By retail format, from January to September, retail sales of supermarkets, convenience stores, department stores, professional stores and specialty stores in retail units above the designated size have increased by 6.2%, 14.5%, 19.9%, 17.1% and 19.8% year-on-year respectively. .

From January to September, China’s online retail sales reached 9187.1 billion yuan, an increase of 18.5% year-on-year.
